Saturday running
Saturday was a bit of a rush before going out to amersham in the afternoon and Mercedes world on Sunday. Managed to fit a 7km run in (approx 37min) although got a stitch towards the end. Will upload route later.
Not getting any faster..must do more hill sprints and leg work! Still recovering from the cold I had - it was not my best run by far!

Rest
Pretty hectic at work, so what with that and coming down with a nasty cold that everyone seems to have in the office.. I have not done any exercise since last tuesday (A WHOLE WEEK). Starting to feel restless so have done 40 x press ups this morning.
Will run home tomorrow and go to the gym on thursday.

Weekend and Tuesday night activities.
This weekend I played Ultimate Frisbee back at Warwick Uni, in the annual Warwick Indoors tournament that I once had the pleasure of organising (back in 2006 when I was President of the club). The club is celebrating its 35 year anniversary this year, and is the oldest student Ultimate club in the country.

In a team of ex-Warwick 1st team players (plus some friends from the ex-Leicester and Durham 1st teams) we have competed in the final of Warwick Indoors twice - coming 2nd twice... achieved 4th twice, 7th once.. and sadly this year.. we came 10th, losing out in the 'plate' final against a team we would normally play for the 3v4 game. I think we're getting old. On Saturday we played 5 x 18 minute games, and Sunday 1 x 18 minute and 3 x 20 minute. Overall a good weekend of running, throwing and catching. Great cardio!
Last night was the return match of Abacus Athletic in the Paddington 5-a-side league. I played better than I had done in previous weeks, operating in a role more in the middle than on other occasions. This led to 2 assists and 1 goal. With only a few games left to go, my current stats are 6 goals out of 9 games (and plenty of 'shots off target'...).

Thursday night gym trip

Warm-up
Frustrating run - 0.7km stopped to stretch and re-tie shoe laces, treadmill reset itself.. 1.33km more then the fire alarm went off - stood outside in the cold with work colleagues who hadn't yet left followed by another 0.5km before my mp3 player fell out of my pocket causing me to stop the treadmill... started again for another 0.5km before stopping. Approx 3km - who knows what time!

Paddington 5-a-side vs city of god
Jogged and bus'd it to football, before losing 12-4 to a very irritatingly skillful team. Despite managing to hit the crossbar from approx 1yard, I did manage quite a nice 1 touch stolen back pass goal at the end.

Sunday run - new route
Tried out a new route this morning, was great. 12km in 61m - took in Kilburn, St Johns Wood, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, Fortune Green, and Queens Park.
Pace a bit erratic at points, but overall a good run.

Morning run to work
This morning I fell out of bed and straight into my running gear (including tights and compression top), stumbling around the flat trying to think of everything I would need for the day.
update: turns out that my garmin has run out of 'laps' memory so has recorded the first lap, and then stopped any more data, except for the route which you can see below. Time to check out how many KMs I've clocked up ever since buying my garmin forerunner 305.
7.94km later in 44min I was at work, in the gym.
